Chapter 5 ~ "Friends New and Old"

"Neo!? But…but how?" was all Avalon could say. She couldn't believe her eyes. What was he doing here. She had hoped she would see him again, but never thought that it was going to happen.

"Eva, run!" Neo said without looking at her. He was too busy blocking Tuxedo Mask's attack. He managed to nock him back and ran towards him ready to strike.

"Neo! Stop!" Avalon shouted. "It doesn't need to be like this!" Avalon then ran up to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"Did you just see what he was about to do to you!?" Neo shouted back. He turned to Tuxedo Mask and glared at him.

"Yes, but let's just leave. There is no need to fight…I'm tired," Avalon said.

Neo put his arms down and put his sword back in its sheath. "Let's get out of here." He took Avalon's hand and led her over to Stella, Lina, and Sanibel. "Do your thing, Stella."

"Hey! Avalon!" Sailor Moon shouted. "I'm sorry!"

"Don't apologize," Tuxedo Mask said.

"Stop it already," Serena walked up to Avalon. "Meet me at the park later…please? I want to talk," she told her.

Avalon nodded her head before she grabbed Neo and Lina's hands. The group disappeared.

"Should we really trust them?" Raye asked.

"Of course! She's my sister, I know she's good," Sailor Moon said with a smile.

"Let's leave those two alone," Stella told Lina and Sanibel. The three walked out of the apartment.

"Neo…." Was all Avalon could say. She began to cry and hugged him tight. "I can't believe you're here!"

Neo hugged her back and kissed her hair. "It's okay, don't cry." He walked her over to the couch and they sat down. "I could stand being back on Jyran and you here, I made Emmi do me a favor."

"I can't believe she did, she's usually so strict on that sort of thing," Avalon said and she tilted her head up to look at him.

"Yah, I think she though I might come in handy," Neo laughed. "She was right."

"She does have premonitions," Avalon said. She looked up at him and smiled. "I'm so happy you're here!" Again she hugged him tight and snuggled her head into his chest. "So much has happened…" She trailed off. "I found out Serena, um, Sailor Moon is my sister."

"What!? Are you serious!?" Neo said and he pulled her away from him and looked into her eyes.

"I wouldn't joke about such a matter. Unfortunately we got off to a really bad start," Avalon said as she turned away from Neo's gaze.

"I'd say. So that means you're mother was Queen Serenity of the Silver Millennium?" Neo asked.

"Yup, Sanibel showed me a vision, and I got to see my childhood," Avalon began to tear up again. "Neo…I really did belong to a family," Now her tears were flowing freely.

"Eva, you always belonged to a family. Stella, Lina, Sanibel, and Emmi are your family. They all love you. And now you even found your sister. Don't cry, you should be happy." He pulled her close in a hug then pulled her back to look into her eyes. "And I love you, don't forget that." He then leaned down and kissed Avalon on the lips.

"I love you too." Avalon said.

"So, you were able to annoy the Sailor Scouts?" Urami said to her daughter.

"Yes mother! You should have seen it! After the battle they all started to fight!" Yume giggled.

"Good, go again and this time make it even more cruel. I want hate to spread!" Lady Urami said as she circled her daughter. "Be mommy's good girl and you'll get a surprise."

"Yeah! I'll do a great job! Just you watch!" Yume said as her fake sailor fuku began to appear on her body. "See you later mother!" And with that she was off.

Lady Urami just smiled with an evil grin. "Yes darling, you do that."

"Avalon, are you sure you don't want us to come with you?" Stella asked.

"No, I'll be fine, don't worry," Avalon said. She grabbed her purse and headed for the door. "I'll be back in a while, make dinner for me!" And with that she was gone heading for the park to meet with Serena.

"That little pig!" Lina said. She then headed to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Stella shortly joined her.

"Sani, you know what to do," Neo said eyeing Sanibel.

Sanibel rolled her eyes. "You know, if Avalon finds out she's gonna be mad."

"I don't care, I want her to be safe," Neo said plopping down on the couch.

Sanibel then ran out the door and secretly followed Avalon.

"Avalon, over here!" Serena waved from a bench by a fountain. "Avalon, I'm so sorry about what I said before. I was just…I just let my emotions get away with me."

"I know. I shouldn't have hit you. That was wrong, I'm sorry as well," Avalon said looking at Serena.

For a while there was silence. Neither girl could come up with anything to say. They just watched people pass by for a while. Then Avalon spoke up. "What was she like?"

"Huh?" Was all Serena could say.

"Mom, I don't remember," Avalon told her.

"She was a wonderful person. She loved everyone around her. She ruled wonderfully. She…she, even gave up her life for others." Serena told Avalon.

Again there was silence.

"She never forgot you," Serena said. "I would sometimes catch her looking at old photos and she had some little girl things that weren't mine. She could never have forgotten you. I'm so sorry you had to leave because of me…She, she loved you so much!"

Avalon then grabbed Serena in a hug. "She loved both of us! It's not you're fault! Don't blame yourself. I'm not mad at you. In fact I'm really glad I met you! I have a sister now, and I know I have a family!" Avalon cried. Both girls sat crying for a while in each other's arms. Then Avalon started to laugh. "People must think we look really funny," she started.

"I know, lets go get ice cream!" Serena said.

"It's gonna spoil dinner, but what the heck, let's go for it!" Avalon replied. The girls got up and went to the closest ice cream stand.

"Belch! They're too happy for their own good!" Yume growled. "Let's see, who should I target?" She glanced around and saw two teens talking, one had on an expensive looking pin on and she was pointing towards it. "Let's see what they're talking about!" Yume flew into a nearby tree to listen in.

"It's beautiful, you said it was your mother's?" One girl said.

"Yes, she felt I was old enough now to have it, and she decided to give it to me. She loved it so much; it's been handed down for generations. Now it means so much to me," The other said. "Well, I better get going, I'll talk to you later!"

"PERFECT!" Yume said. A little glowing sphere glowed in her hand and she threw it towards the pin. It absorbed into the pin and the girl's eyes began to glow. Yume couldn't help but giggle.

"Ooooh! That ice cream was SO good!" Serena said.

"I would have to agree," Avalon said back.

Off in the distance the girls heard a scream. "What in the world?" Avalon asked.

"We better go check it out," Serena said as she began to run towards the area that the scream came from.

Avalon sighed but then started to run after Serena. Sanibel had a sinking feeling. "Geeze, not another possession!" She followed Avalon and Serena.

The girls came up to a crowd and pushed their way through. A girl was lying on the ground clutching her head and screaming. "What happened to her!?" Avalon shouted. As soon as the girl heard Avalon's voice she jumped up and kicked her sending Avalon flying. She landed on the pavement about 10 feet away.

"Avalon!!!" Serena cried. People began to run away screaming. "Now's my chance! Moon Eternal! Make Up!!!" Serena shouted. Moments later she was in her eternal sailor moon fuku ready for battle. The possessed teen was already closing in again on Avalon. "You leave her alone!" Sailor Moon shouted.

"…uhhh…" was all Avalon could say as she tried to sit up and grabbed her head in pain. She then looked up just in time to see a fist coming straight for her head. "Ahhhhh!" Avalon screamed.

"Universal Power, Puppy Smash!!!" Sailor Sani shouted as her attack flew towards the teen girl. It hit her dead on and she flew into a nearby fountain.

"Thanks Sani!" Avalon said scooping her up in her arms and hugging her.

"Quick Avalon, you need to transform!" Sanibel said as she hopped out of Avalon's arms.

"San, I need you to go get the others!" Avalon told her. She got up and brushed herself off.

"Right!" Sanibel said as she ran off.

"Universal Love Power, Make Up!!!" Avalon was surrounded by purple and stars. She was all ready in her fuku in a matter of seconds. "Sailor Moon! You doing okay!" Sailor Avalon said as she ran up to her.

"Yah, I'm fine, how about you?" She asked. Avalon gave her a nod as to say 'yes'. "She still hasn't come out of the fountain yet."

"We need Mercury here to tell us what's causing her possession," Avalon said to Sailor Moon. "I wish Sanibel would hurry!"

Just then Yume appeared by the fountain. "You stupid girl! Get up and get those two before the others come!!!" Just the she looked to Sailor Avalon and Sailor Moon. "Hahahahaha! You girls having fun!?" She smirked at the two.

"Grrrr! You little bitch! Shooting Love Star…Soar!!!" Sailor Avalon threw her attack at Yume as fast as she could but Yume easily dodged it.

"Tisk, tisk. You should really learn to control your temper!" Yume told her as she floated above where the attack hit. "Besides, you're fighting her now."

Sailor Avalon and Sailor Moon looked to their left and saw the teen running straight for them. She jumped and was just about to hit Sailor Moon when Sailor Avalon pushed her away. The both fell to the ground as the girl flew over them. She turned right around and ran toward them again ready to punch them. The two sailors again dodged her attack as the girls arm slammed into the ground.

"Damn! I don't want to attack her!" Sailor Avalon said.

"I know, where's that dog of yours?" Sailor Moon said. "And where is everyone else!?"

As if on cue they heard Lina's attack: "Light of Binding!" The attack shot up from the ground and held the teen girl.

"Sailor Avalon, the source of the possession is her pin!" Mercury shouted.

"Sailor Moon, what should I do?" Sailor Avalon asked her.

"We…we have no choice. Do your thing!" Sailor Moon told her forcing a smile.

Avalon closed her eyes. "Eternal Life Power, Make Up." Sailor Avalon transformed into Eternal Sailor Avalon and her wand appeared before her. She grabbed it and shouted. "Life Scepter Healing Touch!" The attack flew out of the crystal on the wand straight for the pin. Please! If there is any way for it to not disappear, let it happen! Avalon mentally thought. When the attack hit the girl screamed and the pin disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Damn! "Go for it Sailor Moon!" Avalon told her.

"Starlight Honeymoon, Therapy Kiss!!!" She aimed her wand for the girl and she turned back to normal. All the scouts gathered together.

"Hahahahaha! Too bad her mom is never going to forgive her for losing her treasured heirloom," Yume laughed as she disappeared.

"Damn it!!!" Sailor Jupiter yelled.

Tuxedo Mask walked up to Sailor Avalon. "There has got to be another way! Maybe you're concentrating too hard and making it disappear with too much power," he said.

"Get away from her 'Cape Boy'!!!" Neo shouted as he jumped down in between Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Avalon. Both of the guys growled at each other in fighting stances.

"NOCK IT OFF YOU TWO!!! Honestly you're like children!" Sailor Capella shouted at the two.

Avalon walked up to both of them. "Next time I'll try something else first. Okay?" She looked pleadingly at Tuxedo Mask. He backed down. "Fine."

"Hey, Avalon, thanks for helping me back there!" Sailor Moon said. "You too Sailor Corona, that binding attack is great!"

Avalon knew what she was trying to do. Cheer everyone up. Was she always like this? Avalon pondered. The group "de-senshi-tized".

"Lets all go back to our apartment and have the dinner we started to make!" Lina said. She started to walk ahead. "I'm going to have to stop at the store to get more supplies. This is a big group," she laughed.

"Sounds good," Mina said.

The group walked back to the apartment and had a great dinner. They all got to know each other better. Unfortunately Neo and Darien didn't really acknowledge each other. Avalon and Serena knew it was going to take awhile. They played games and watched movies until early in the morning. Avalon couldn't help but be happy. She had made new friends and Neo was there again. She was ready for anything that came her way!
